The new year is a time to reset and inspire yourself with new goals. But with the colder weather and shorter days during winter, it can be tempting to fall back into old habits.

Studies show the third Sunday in January, called ‘Quitters Day,’ is when people most often ditch their New Year’s resolutions. At Lazarus Naturals, we encourage you to continue thriving in 2020 by recommitting to your goals and sticking with them.

Below are seven great ways that you can use CBD to put yourself first and work towards your goals.

With 25 hemp-derived CBD products, Lazarus Naturals offers more ways to use CBD than ever before. If you’re looking to try CBD for the first time, having that much variety can be overwhelming. Our 2019 customer favorites are a great place to start.

High Potency Full Spectrum CBD Tincture

For those who require a higher concentration of CBD, our High Potency Full Spectrum CBD Tincture packs in 50mg of CBD per serving. This unflavored and additive-free tincture comes with a graduated dropper to ensure you’re taking only what you need. Our vegan and gluten-free tinctures contain no artificial flavors, preservatives or sweeteners.

Chocolate Mint Flavored High Potency Full Spectrum CBD Tincture

The Chocolate Mint Flavored High Potency Tincture was one of our first flavored tinctures to be released and has remained our most popular. The delicious flavor combines naturally derived chocolate and mint extract with a high-quality hemp extract. It also still offers the same high concentration of CBD and benefits of a full spectrum CBD oil that you’ve come to expect.

Full Spectrum Capsules

Capsules are an easy and convenient way to ensure you’re getting the exact of amount of CBD you want. The 10mg and 25mg Full Spectrum Capsules are perfect for those new to CBD or who prefer smaller amounts. Our 50mg Full Spectrum Capsules are ideal for those who need a higher concentration.

Flavorless High Potency CBD Isolate Tincture

Some people have more sensitive tastebuds than others. Our Flavorless High Potency CBD Isolate Tincture offers a plain taste and a large serving size of CBD. All of our tinctures are third-party tested for potency, pesticides and heavy metals.

Calming CBD Pet Tincture

Our customers regularly tell us how often they gave CBD to their four-legged friends. Their words helped inspire our line of hemp-derived CBD products specifically for pets. The Calming CBD Oil Pet Tincture contains a concentration of CBD that’s specifically tailored for the needs of animals. Recommended serving sizes based on weight can be found on the label. Like all of our products, this full spectrum CBD oil is made in-house and undergoes third-party testing. You can rest easy knowing your pet is taking a product that’s natural, consistent and safe.

Lavender Balm

Enjoy the smell of summer year-round with our soothing Lavender CBD Balm. The refreshing floral aroma is ideal for relaxation and a great option for self-care. It’s made with a top-shelf mixture of ingredients including mango butter and beeswax. We then infuse the balm with CBD hemp extract and all natural terpenes for scent.

Ready to get started or try something new? Our sample packs and bundles make it easy and cost effective for you to try a variety of products so you can find what works best for you.

All of our products undergo third party lab testing to ensure they meet our stringent standards for quality and safety.

Third-party test results are essential when purchasing CBD products to ensure you are getting the potency and purity you deserve. However, unless you’re a chemist, you will likely struggle to read most test results. At Lazarus Naturals, we strive to make buying CBD as safe and as easy as possible. That’s why we have created this handy guide to help you find and read your test results.

The first step in reading your test results is knowing where to find the batch number associated with your product. We print all of our batch numbers on our label usually near the QR code.

Once you find it, go to the product page click on the Test Results tab and find the corresponding test results.

Every batch undergoes numerous different tests to ensure our products meet our stringent standards for quality and safety. To make things easy, we consolidate all of those results into one PDF and then add a custom cover page that summarizes all of the most important test results. You can follow along with the graphics below to help you read and interpret your results.

Oregon is making it clear that CBD and alcohol do not mix in the state.

The Oregon Liquor Control Commission recently made a rules amendment that forbids making or selling products that combine CBD and alcohol. The ban, in effect as of January 1st, is specifically for manufactured products. However, the OLCC is offering a one-month grace period to allow businesses to begin complying.

Separate rules will also soon be made to forbid bars and restaurants from mixing the two. The OLCC will require verification that any non-alcoholic CBD beverage products meet hemp product testing requirements. Licensees must also ensure that the products don’t contain more than 0.3% THC, per federal regulations.

CBD In Beverages

The FDA recognizes CBD as a drug in the form of Epidiolex. Because of this, food and beverages containing CBD can’t be sold across state lines. However, Oregon allows the sales of these products within the state. The only requirements are that they meet testing standards and contain CBD from a registered hemp grower.

Many bars and restaurants across the country also offer CBD-infused alcoholic beverages. However, the OLCC recommends not mixing CBD and alcohol, deeming it a risky practice.

A high-profile maker of beers with CBD also ceased operations last fall. The company reportedly did not “formula approval” by the U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. The OLCC said that “the TTB will not approve a formula or a label for any alcoholic beverage containing CBD as an ingredient.”

Lazarus Naturals is kicking off the new year with a new accolade. The online community CBD Oil Users has chosen us as Brand Of The Year for the third consecutive year.

This website and accompanying Facebook page are highly revered in the industry. They are dedicated to providing education, reviews, recommendations and the sharing of experiences among users of CBD products.

Other CBD Oil Users Awards

This isn’t the first time that the CBD Oil Users community is recognizing our products. Last April, we were included in their list of “Best CBD Oil Brands Of 2019.”

Lazarus Naturals is the only CBD company from the Pacific Northwest to make the list. They note our selection due to being “leaders in the industry.” They also add that we were vetted for “third-party lab testing, customer experience, fair pricing and positive feedback.”

Last January, our line of THC-free products featured in their “Best CBD Oils Without THC” list. Once again, Lazarus Naturals is the only Pacific Northwest-based company to receive the honor.

“Thousands of companies are now selling CBD oil products both online and in local stores…and some companies aren’t completely transparent with consumers in their marketing and product labelling,” said Brian Peterson, Managing Editor of “Our mission is to educate consumers about the use of CBD oil and recommend safe and reputable brands.”

A $1.4 trillion government-wide spending package for 2020 is earmarking millions of dollars in funding for the FDA to conduct CBD research. But for some in the industry, that’s still not enough.

Hemp-derived CBD is mentioned in one of two spending bills in the package. The FDA and USDA will receive $2 million for research, market surveillance and policy evaluation.

The funds also earmark the FDA issuing an enforcement discretion policy for hemp products with CBD. The agency must perform an extensive study that tests products against the contents listed on their labels. However, some do not feel these steps are adequate enough to keep consumers from ingesting falsely advertised products.

“Providing funding for testing is a positive first step. Unfortunately, today’s action falls short of what is needed to protect consumers,” said Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., President and CEO of the Natural Products Association. The future of the U.S. hemp industry and the farmers and producers who provide it are directly tied to smart regulations for CBD. This includes [the] FDA establishing a safe level of consumption so consumers are protected.”

False Advertising

A recent Leafly study tests the CBD content of 47 popular CBD products. This also includes our Standard Potency CBD Tincture. While our product passes Leafly’s test, their findings also show alarming results.

One in three products in the study contain less than 80% of the CBD they claim to deliver. A shocking 11% of the tested products did not contain any CBD whatsoever. Nearly 17% of the products also contain more than 120% of the total CBD they claim to have.

However, the study results show progress compared to three years ago. A similar FDA study from 2016 shows that 77% of tested products contain less CBD than stated on the label. Many products in the study also did not contain any CBD.
