We want to give a huge shout out to everyone who made Lazarus Naturals purchases in early March of this year. We donated 10% of our profits on sales from March 13-15 and surpassed our goal, raising a total of $32,629 for the Epilepsy Foundation. We couldn’t be happier to support such a worthy organization.

Lazarus Naturals is a proud supporter of the work of the Epilepsy Foundation. They are leading the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and working to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures and save lives.

The Epilepsy Foundation is a national non-profit with more than 50 local organizations throughout the United States, leading the charge to fight against seizures since 1968. The Foundation works to prevent, control, and cure epilepsy through community services; public education; federal and local advocacy. You can learn more about The Epilepsy Foundation here.

Dear Lazarus Naturals Customers,

At Lazarus Naturals, our mission is to make quality, effective CBD accessible for all. Our commitment to safety, which is at the forefront of everything we do, is even more heightened in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

We take great pride in the trust you put in us and want to share what we are doing to ensure the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners in this public health crisis.

As this is a quickly evolving situation, we have already implemented several safety protocols in our offices and facilities. We continue to closely monitor guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and local public health agencies so we can make needed changes to maximize our efforts.

Based on current guidance:

  • We have increased the frequency of our cleaning and sanitation protocol and are cleaning all fulfillment, manufacturing, bathroom, kitchen and other high-touch surfaces multiple times throughout the day.
  • As a cGMP Certified facility, our production team continues to employ safe handling practices, including protective gear and hygiene safety controls.
  • We are encouraging employees to prioritize their health and have placed hand sanitizers throughout all of our facilities.
  • All employees in our production and fulfillment centers are required to wear gloves while handling products and packages.
  • Everyone is requested to not touch their faces. If someone accidentally does touch their face, she or he must immediately wash their hands and change their gloves.
  • Visitors and non essential employees are not able to enter our offices, warehouse or fulfillment center, including those making deliveries or picking up packages.
  • Any employee experiencing cough, shortness of breath, or other cold-like symptoms is required to stay at home. All employees who exhibit fever or flu-like symptoms cannot return to work for at least 72 hours after the last sign of symptoms.
  • And, finally we have cancelled all national events through April to support social distancing efforts and ensure the safety of our Events team.

Our thoughts are with our community and those who have already been affected. We promise to keep you informed as we move forward and encourage you to reach out to our Customer Service team with questions or concerns at [email protected] Monday-Friday, 9a-5p Pacific.

Sincerely,

Sequoia Price-Lazarus

Lazarus Naturals Named Official CBD Sponsor of Spartan 2020 & 2021 U.S. Race Season

Athletes competing in Spartan race events will soon be able to add Lazarus Naturals CBD to their race recovery routines, thanks to a partnership deal. Through the sponsorship, Lazarus Naturals will provide its high-quality CBD tinctures, balms and massage oils to thousands of race finishers, supporting the company’s mission to make CBD more affordable and accessible for all.

“Spartan encourages and enables athletes at all fitness levels to push their limits and achieve more,” said Ian Lawson, global brand partnerships at Spartan. “That’s in perfect alignment with Lazarus Naturals, which make it possible to thrive—not just survive, and we’re excited to team up with Lazarus Naturals to provide our athletes with high-quality CBD products to help achieve their goals.”

While Spartan events bring in athletes from all walks of life, 22 percent of participants are military veterans, which Lazarus Naturals actively supports through its Assistance Program. Eligible consumers who are retired from active duty, on long-term disability or receive income assistance, can apply to receive a 60 percent lifetime discount on all Lazarus Naturals products.

“Our customers reach out to us all the time to share what a difference our products have made in their lives. It’s why we do what we do,” said Nicki Briggs, chief marketing officer at Lazarus Naturals. “Whether you’re training for an actual race, or just trying to keep up with the day-to-day pace of real life, our mission is to provide high-quality CBD products consumers can trust, at the right price.”

Lazarus Naturals offers the lowest cost-per-milligram CBD products on the market that are made according to current Good Manufacturing Practices and are third-party tested for potency, cannabinoid profile as well as the presence of pesticides and heavy metals. Test results for every batch are available on the company’s website.

BP-1583365820Assistance-Program-Facebook

Lazarus Naturals was founded on the belief that CBD should be available to anyone, regardless of their financial situation.

Our Assistance Program was created to provide financial relief to those who could use it the most: veterans, low-income families and individuals with long-term disabilities. We believe in this concept so much that we even increased our lifetime discount last year from 40% to 60%, enabling us to provide even more CBD access to more people.

Members of our Assistance Program will know that we established a monthly spending cap of $250 beginning last April. We, unfortunately, had a few outliers who were abusing the program and using it to resell our products without permission. Since the vast majority of participants do not exceed $250 per month in spending, we felt that the cap was the best solution.

However, some Assistance Program members have informed us that the spending cap limits their access to CBD, because the spending cap was too low for their needs. It is certainly never our intention to prevent customers from accessing the CBD that they require.

We are addressing this issue by increasing the monthly spending cap to $400, effective immediately. This cap will reset on the 1st of every month and is on the discounted price, not the MSRP price. For an item that regularly sells for $100, the discounted price will be $40 on the Assistance Program.

If you are on the Assistance Program and the new cap is still impacting your need for our products, please contact our customer service department at [email protected] or call us during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5am PST) at (206) 909-3354. We may be able to work with customers who are deeply affected by the cap.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a chemical compound in hemp and cannabis plants that is making big waves among health and wellness-minded individuals.

CBD interacts with our body on a molecular level. There is a system of microscopic cannabinoid receptors inside of every person and animal, this is known as The Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The Endocannabinoid System is one of the most recent biological discoveries to completely revolutionize our understanding of the human body. The system is a collection of microscopic cannabinoid receptors spread throughout our peripheral and central nervous systems which interacts with cannabinoids, including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or cannabidiol (CBD), as well as the endogenous cannabinoids that are produced by our own bodies. These receptors bind with cannabinoids once they enter the bloodstream and can elicit various effects — THC can famously get you “high,” for example, whereas CBD is non-intoxicating and has instead been popularized for its more subtle effects.

What does it do?

In the case of CBD, much has yet to be learned about its effects. Many people advocate for CBD product use as a key part of their daily routine to maintain a sense of equilibrium and to support healthy function of body and mind.

However, we must also note that the FDA has not reinforced these claims so far, and the federal prohibition of cannabis makes further cannabinoid research nearly impossible (even using hemp, which was re-legalized in 2018).

Are there any side-effects?

CBD has minimal direct side-effects, the most commonly reported of which include:

  • Drowsiness
  • Dry mouth
  • Low blood pressure
  • Light-headedness

This compound, however, can pose a significant health risk when combined with certain prescription medications or other drugs, like alcohol. Always check with your doctor before experimenting with CBD, especially if you are taking any other prescription or over-the-counter medications.

Delivery methods

If you’re interested in trying CBD, you’ll need to familiarize yourself with the cannabinoid’s various delivery methods. The most common CBD products are usually an extract or oil, sometimes in tincture form. Tinctures are the one of the most popular methods as they are taken sublingually and are absorbed faster, also by using a dropper, you can create a serving that is more accurately tailored to you. There are also CBD tablets and lozenges or, if oral consumption is out of the question, CBD topicals, salves, transdermal patches, and even suppositories are growing in popularity.
