From the UFC to the NBA, many of the world’s most recognized athletes use CBD. Many famous athletes who use CBD love the benefits it offers, which include promoting normal cartilage and joint function, and make it part of their training regimen and daily routine.

Check out five athletes who use CBD and speak about the benefits they experience from making it part of their daily routine.

KC Deane

A dual-sport athlete, KC has established himself as one of the top skiers and mountain bike athletes in the country. His skills have been featured in films including his award-winning film series “blank. The Movie”.

KC regularly uses CBD and said it has “become a big part of my being able to manage pain, recover from injuries and get over jet lag without using sleeping pills and melatonin.”

David Wells

At the height of his baseball career, which included winning a second World Series championship with the New York Yankees, David was addicted to Percocet and admitted being on it “75-80% of the time.” But after a 60 Minutes story inspired him to try CBD in 2007, he has continued to enjoy the ways in which CBD supports healthy cartilage and joint function.

“I’m living proof that CBD works,” he said in a November 2016 interview with The Post Game. “I wish I knew about this stuff when I was playing because I would have been all over it. I’ve got a torn rotator cuff…and I’m able to get full range of motion by taking CBD just a few times a day.”

Jay Williams

The former NBA star has become an outspoken advocate for CBD oil use in his retirement. Jay prefers rubbing the oil into his skin and has said he’s noticed multiple benefits since beginning to take it.

“It helps with inflammation and takes away some anxiety,” he said in March 2016. “It’s something that the whole world is becoming more progressive with.”

Rick Upchurch

After receiving a leukemia diagnosis and beginning chemotherapy in 2011, the former Denver Broncos player said he began using CBD to help relieve nausea symptoms related to chemotherapy. Although his cancer is now in remission, Rick told The Denver post in March 2016 that CBD has remained part of his daily routine.

“Without CBD, I would be in bad shape,” he said. “I really would.”

Jake Plummer

The former NFL quarterback began taking CBD oil to help support cartilage and joint function after undergoing several hip surgeries when his playing career ended. He has since become an advocate for CBD research and co-founded Athletes For Care, a non-profit organization that focuses on alternative treatment options for athletes that include CBD.

“I started taking CBD oil and…the pain went away,” he said last April at the NoCo Hemp Expo. “I can get down and play Legos on the floor with my kids.”
