Lazarus Naturals News

What began in 2014 with a few intrepid pioneers selling products at Seattle farmers markets has grown into one of the most successful and trusted CBD companies in the US. As we take a moment, just before harvest on our Central Oregon farms, to reflect on who we are today and where we’re headed in the future, we want to give thanks. Thank you to all of our customers for driving us forward to make new and better products. And to the Assistance Program. Since day one, making CBD accessible to all who need it regardless of circumstance, has been the cornerstone of our mission.

Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to since those early days back in 2014.

We’ve come a long way in six busy years. As pioneers in the CBD industry, we’ve learned how to do things right and pass that on to you by keeping prices down and potency up. We focus on consistency, sustainability and transparency.

We love hearing from you. Drop us a line in the comments section and be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Making hand sanitizer and supporting the healthcare and food service community

With hand sanitizer so scarce, we saw an opportunity to help our local and state communities by converting some of our manufacturing space to make an 80% sanitizing spray that naturally kills 99.9% of germs. “Hand Sanitizer is scarce, but that doesn’t mean that the shelf should be empty or that hospitals should be struggling to find it. We have the equipment and we want to do this,” says Justin Amesbury, Director of Research and Development. The hand sanitizer is portable, easy-to-use, formulated without phthalates, parabens, petroleum or SLS and does not contain any CBD.

Donating 10% of everything we make

Right now, donations of hand sanitizer are already going to twenty homeless shelters and food banks in Portland, Deschutes County, and Seattle. But soon, you’ll be able to purchase hand sanitizer at cost right on our website. We felt it was important to reach these people first.

We’re not out to make a profit

As makers of quality, affordable CBD, we’re so grateful to be able to support our community and help those in need. So, we’re selling hand sanitizer at cost to hospitals, correctional facilities, and customers at the lowest price possible. “We’re not out to make a profit. We just want to make it available, following on our mission of getting things to the people who need it most,” says Justin. This is a time to step up and be of service. We’re grateful to be able to use our manufacturing methods to make something available to so many people in need.

Free CBD for healthcare and food service workers

If ever there were a time to support healthcare and food service workers, now is it. These people are on the front lines in our cities every day and CBD can help them relax, unwind and soothe sore achy muscles from overuse. We asked you to nominate a healthcare worker who could use some extra support during this time and you did a great job. We quickly donated 1,000 CBD Care Packages! We then gave away free care packages for food service workers. To-date, the company has delivered over 2,000 care packages through these efforts and plans to provide 6,000 more to other front-line workers in the coming weeks.

CBD lotions are a really nice way to unwind and give your body’s largest organ, your skin, a heaping helping of nourishing love. Non-greasy and lightweight, our new line of CBD lotions are infused with a generous serving of 50 mg of CBD per teaspoon for maximum effect. In addition to experiencing the restorative and relaxing benefits of CBD, your skin will feel soft and smooth.

Scents derived from nature

Inspired by our Northwest roots and the popularity of Unscented and Portland Rose balms, we also channeled the refreshing scent of an old-growth forest into Pacific Pine scented CBD lotion. We like to think of it as forest bathing on the go. “We use naturally derived scents and essential oils that smell like real pine trees and the fresh aroma of Portland roses. We go through hundreds of iterations to find the perfect consistency and scent,” says Justin Amesbury, Director of Research and Development at Lazarus Naturals.

Calming, all-natural ingredients in a topical CBD

“We’ve added soothing all-natural ingredients like organic sweet almond oil, with Vitamin E, to aid as an all-natural moisturizer and organic jojoba seed oil to help the CBD absorb quickly and move past the skin barrier,” says Amesbury. Our formulas are designed to feel light, luxurious, and non-greasy. So it’s easy to moisturize, get dressed and get on with your day. Available in three convenient sizes, you can carry Lazarus Naturals CBD lotions with you to the gym, the office, or throw an extra in your backpack when you’re on the go.

We’re delighted to add CBD lotions to our growing collection of topical products that already include balms and massage oils. Check out our full line of three new CBD lotions in three convenient sizes that go where you go.

We want to give a huge shout out to everyone who made Lazarus Naturals purchases in early March of this year. We donated 10% of our profits on sales from March 13-15 and surpassed our goal, raising a total of $32,629 for the Epilepsy Foundation. We couldn’t be happier to support such a worthy organization.

Lazarus Naturals is a proud supporter of the work of the Epilepsy Foundation. They are leading the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and working to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures and save lives.

The Epilepsy Foundation is a national non-profit with more than 50 local organizations throughout the United States, leading the charge to fight against seizures since 1968. The Foundation works to prevent, control, and cure epilepsy through community services; public education; federal and local advocacy. You can learn more about The Epilepsy Foundation here.

Dear Lazarus Naturals Customers,

At Lazarus Naturals, our mission is to make quality, effective CBD accessible for all. Our commitment to safety, which is at the forefront of everything we do, is even more heightened in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

We take great pride in the trust you put in us and want to share what we are doing to ensure the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners in this public health crisis.

As this is a quickly evolving situation, we have already implemented several safety protocols in our offices and facilities. We continue to closely monitor guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and local public health agencies so we can make needed changes to maximize our efforts.

Based on current guidance:

  • We have increased the frequency of our cleaning and sanitation protocol and are cleaning all fulfillment, manufacturing, bathroom, kitchen and other high-touch surfaces multiple times throughout the day.
  • As a cGMP Certified facility, our production team continues to employ safe handling practices, including protective gear and hygiene safety controls.
  • We are encouraging employees to prioritize their health and have placed hand sanitizers throughout all of our facilities.
  • All employees in our production and fulfillment centers are required to wear gloves while handling products and packages.
  • Everyone is requested to not touch their faces. If someone accidentally does touch their face, she or he must immediately wash their hands and change their gloves.
  • Visitors and non essential employees are not able to enter our offices, warehouse or fulfillment center, including those making deliveries or picking up packages.
  • Any employee experiencing cough, shortness of breath, or other cold-like symptoms is required to stay at home. All employees who exhibit fever or flu-like symptoms cannot return to work for at least 72 hours after the last sign of symptoms.
  • And, finally we have cancelled all national events through April to support social distancing efforts and ensure the safety of our Events team.

Our thoughts are with our community and those who have already been affected. We promise to keep you informed as we move forward and encourage you to reach out to our Customer Service team with questions or concerns at [email protected] Monday-Friday, 9a-5p Pacific.
