Fresh Hemp Pesto Pasta

Light dinner on a warm summer evening sure does sound dreamy! This recipe—which includes hemp seeds as well as Lazarus Naturals full spectrum hemp extract—is destined to become your new favorite way to enjoy pasta night and help promote a better quality of sleep!

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (packed) fresh basil leaves
  • ½ cup hemp seeds, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2-4 ml Lazarus Naturals High Potency Full Spectrum CBD Tincture*
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 8 ounces fusilli pasta, or other curly pasta variety

Instructions:

Make the pesto first: To a food processor, add the basil, ½ cup hemp seeds, garlic, nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, and as much Lazarus Naturals High Potency Full Spectrum CBD Tincture as desired. Turn on the processor, and slowly pour in the olive oil to form a puree. 

Next, cook the pasta according to the manufacturer’s directions in a large pot of salted water. Drain well, then return the pasta to the pot, and toss with the pesto sauce. Serve warm or cold, garnished with a sprinkle of hemp seeds.

*Use as much or as little of the CBD tincture as you like. Or, substitute with another variety of Lazarus Naturals unflavored CBD tinctures.

Tip: If making the pesto ahead of time, transfer it to a storage container (a small mason jar works great), and pour a small layer of olive oil on top to prevent browning. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Raspberry Citrus CBD Yogurt Popsicles

Cool down and unwind with these bright and flavorful popsicles!

Makes 4 popsicles

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 Cups of raspberries
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar or sweetener
  • 10 oz of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2ml/100mg Lazarus Naturals Blood Orange High Potency CBD Tincture 
  • Zest of one lemon

Instructions:

Place raspberries and lemon juice in a blender or food processor. Strain into a bowl through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds. Discard seeds. 

Add sugar to raspberry puree and stir.

In a separate bowl mix yogurt, Blood Orange CBD, and lemon zest. Scoop yogurt into 4 popsicle molds, try to keep it even.

Pour the raspberry puree into the molds and fill to the top. Using a knife or skewer, poke the puree down to mix with the yogurt. Avoid stirring to create the swirled effect. 

Place popsicle sticks inside the mixture and freeze overnight.  

Strawberry Hibiscus CBD Mojito Mocktail

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Strawberry Purée
  • 10-15 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
  • Strawberry Hibiscus Tincture
  • 12 oz Club Soda
  • Ice Cubes
  • Fresh Strawberries + Mint For Garnish

Instructions:

Add fresh mint leaves to a glass and muddle them.

Fill up the glass with ice cubes.

Add strawberry purée, pour in fresh lime juice, and club soda of your choice.

Add your desired serving size of Strawberry Hibiscus CBD Tincture.

Stir the ingredients together well.

Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint leaves.

Enjoy!

Sweet Citrus Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette 

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 100mg of Lazarus Naturals Yuzu CBD Tincture (Full Spectrum or Isolate can be used - depends on your flavor preference)

Instructions:

Measure out all ingredients then combine in a small mason jar. Secure lid tightly and shake to combine. Serve immediately with a recipe of choice (examples: on top of a salad or as a sauce on a chicken dish) Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, when ready to enjoy, be sure to shake first to combine ingredients. 

Alternate Preparation: If you do not have a mason jar, you can combine the dressing ingredients in a small bowl and which to combine.
