Hundreds Of Dog Owners Share Their Stories With The FDA

The FDA recently sent out a request for public comments on how CBD products should be regulated. What they perhaps didn’t anticipate is a flurry of dog owners sharing personal stories on the topic of CBD for dogs.

More than four percent of public comments (4,269) that the FDA has on its request document mention CBD for dogs. Rebecca M. writes that she saw a “dramatic” change in her dog after giving it CBD for seven months. Mandy W. tells the FDA that daily servings of CBD “have made a huge difference” in her seven-year-old Newfoundland. Kerri S. Uses CBD for her two family dogs and says “the results [are] obvious and positive.” She urges the FDA to “allow this important, natural and extremely helpful medicine.”

The public comments also include a statement from Janet E. Donlin, Executive Vice President and CEO of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She writes that veterinarians “enthusiastically support exploring the therapeutic potential” of CBD products. Janet also notes the importance of veterinarians having “continued confidence in the efficacy, quality and safety of products."

    So far my dog has been on the all natural Lazarus CBD tincture since about May. She is a ten year old Pug/Terrier mix. I first got the classic flavored one and now she is on the wild salmon one. She is loving it and has more energy and isn't as anxious. She is a lot healthier and getting on the bed and furniture easier. When we ran out of the CBD for her she was lethargic and sleeping a lot and also had trouble getting up on furniture I had to help her. She is playing, running and jumping on it and acting like a puppy again. Thank you so much for your help and affordable CBD tinctures for animals and the care for animals you have.
