Official Statement on Lazarus Naturals Test Results

Regarding recent news reports about CBD products with fraudulent concentrations or alleged adulterants, we’re here to clear up any confusion.

Firstly, all “full-spectrum” CBD products (which means they were made with whole-plant hemp extract) contain small amounts of THC regardless of manufacturer. The nominal THC can be removed through refinement processes but this changes the natural makeup of the hemp extract. Removing this THC may lessen the effectiveness of the finished product since it reduces peripheral cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and other compounds, which support the “entourage effect.”

We offer both full spectrum and THC-free CBD options so you can choose the product that’s best for you.  Regardless of what product type you choose, all of our products are legally compliant and contain less than 0.3% THC by weight.

At Lazarus Naturals, transparency is our top priority.  We conduct triplicated potency tests of cannabinoids in house at multiple stages of formulation before conducting a third-party analysis of finished goods.

Analysis of consumable goods—whether dietary supplements, drugs, etc—is an imperfect thing. Variance exists across all tests for all products. One product batch can yield different results in a lab in Georgia, compared to a lab in Florida, compared to a lab in California — even if they all use the same methods. The same batch could even have different results across many tests conducted by the same lab using the same methods and equipment.

We work to ensure that our products are tested to the highest available standard, with our third party laborority being SO/IEC 17025 accredited and compliant with the Oregon Environmental Accreditation Program (ORELAP). ORELAP outlines some of the best known practices for the most accurate, representative reports on CBD products in the country.  We are actively working with the AOAC International to improve analytical practices and publish standardized guidelines for all hemp-derived testing.

We suggest that customers and those interested in CBD verify any manufacturer they purchase from third-party tests every batch and publicly publishes the results.  We’re proud to be at the forefront in CBD and are unwavering in our mission to make quality hemp-derived CBD products that are grown and formulated by us accessible for everyone, especially for those who need them most.
