Why Are More Seniors Using CBD?

People from all walks of life are beginning to incorporate CBD into their daily routine, but perhaps the sharpest rise has come from seniors using CBD after discovering the many benefits it offers.
A new study from Remedy Review, which surveyed more than 1,000 seniors ages 54 and up, found that 9% of seniors have tried CBD for health-related reasons. Among the survey participants who had tried CBD, 42% they had explored using it in hopes it would help with inflammation. The other top reasons given for trying CBD use were chronic pain (40.6%), poor sleep quality (38.6%) and arthritis pain (31.8%).
Although it’s unclear from the study whether CBD oil addressed their specific conditions, 51.1% of seniors in the survey who had used CBD reported an overall higher quality of life. The findings showed 65% of the seniors reported their quality of life as good, while 31.1% said it remained the same after taking CBD. Nearly 29% of participants found CBD to be extremely effective, while 38% said it was moderately effective.
Tinctures were by far the most popular way to take CBD. Most put the drops directly into their mouth (54.4%), while others (21.1%) preferred to mix it in a beverage. The most popular methods of consumption also included edibles (21.1%) and capsules (15.6%).
But perhaps the most encouraging sign from the survey is the overall satisfaction rates. About 89% of seniors said they would recommend CBD to a family member or friend for health-related purposes and 78% said they were satisfied with their CBD product.
