CBD Oil Side Effects And Everyday Use

If taking a CBD oil tincture has become part of your daily routine and you enjoy the benefits, it’s only natural to consider taking more. But what are the possible side effects from increased CBD oil consumption? Can you take too much?

Luckily, any CBD oil side effects are mild and rarely prevent people from taking it as desired. However, we always recommend consulting with your physician and doing research on your own before adding CBD into your daily routine.

Does CBD Have Any Side Effects?

However, CBD can cause a reaction with certain medications in a manner that is similar to grapefruit. Certain grapefruit compounds interact with common pharmaceutical drugs by inhibiting cytochrome P450 enzymes, a family of liver enzymes that metabolizes these drugs. When consumed at high enough servings, CBD can inhibit these enzymes.

If you have received any advice related to grapefruit from a medical professional, the same protocol should be followed with CBD products.

Can You Take Too Much CBD?

No fatal levels from CBD consumption have ever been reported. A 2011 study, published in the journal Drug Safety Review, showed that study participants who consumed as much as 1,500 milligrams of CBD per day did not report any side effects. The World Health Organization also noted in their preliminary report last year that “to date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

You should always purchase CBD products that contain information on the label about the manufacturer or ingredients.

Lazarus Naturals includes ingredient information for all our products. Every batch we bring to market undergoes a strenuous testing process to ensure quality and safety. We post the results for each round of testing under the “Test Results” tab of each product page.

How Much CBD Should I Take?

We cannot recommend specific serving sizes because this is largely dependent on factors including your individual metabolism, body weight and body chemistry. What might be an adequate daily amount for one person may not be enough for another.

We suggest using a small amount to start out and adjusting as needed until you achieve the desired effects.
