Lazarus Naturals CBD Coconut Oil adds a delectable buttery flavor to this “cheesy” popcorn recipe that’s made with nutritional yeast and herbs.

- 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning blend
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons grapeseed oil, or regular coconut oil
- ½ cup organic popcorn kernels
- 4 teaspoons Lazarus Naturals Full Spectrum CBD Coconut Oil
Make the cheesy seasoning mix first: In a small bowl, mix together the nutritional yeast, Italian herb seasoning, salt, and pepper. Keep on standby.
Warm a large pot (about a 4-quart or 6-quart size, with a lid), over medium-high heat. Add the grapeseed oil, wait until hot, then add the popcorn kernels. Stir to coat the kernels with oil, and lightly shake the pot to spread them into an even layer. Cover the pot and listen to the pot closely: once the first few kernels have started to pop, reduce the heat to just slightly below medium (as in, medium-lowish). Place the lid slightly ajar to release steam, and shake the pot back and forth over the burner once every minute to ensure even cooking of the kernels.
After a couple minutes, or once the popping has slowed down to a few seconds in between each “pop,” remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the Lazarus Naturals Full Spectrum CBD Coconut Oil until melted and well-distributed, then stir in the prepared cheesy seasoning to coat the popcorn. Transfer to a large serving bowl and enjoy.
