At Lazarus Naturals, we’ve always believed that wellness starts with trust—and trust starts with transparency. From day one, we’ve committed to purposeful, potent formulations powered by ingredients that are as effective as they are intentional. Now, we’re taking that transparency to the next level.
Introducing our Ingredient Library: a new initiative designed to give you full access to the science, sourcing, and stories behind every active ingredient we use. Think of it as your personal guide to everything inside a Lazarus Naturals product, from tried-and-true botanicals to cutting-edge compounds backed by research.
This living ingredient library is designed to inform, inspire, and support your wellness journey, whether you’re deep-diving into the science or just curious what makes your favorite CBD products so effective.
We believe that every ingredient has a purpose, and you deserve to know the whole story. In this article, we’ll walk you through what the “Ingredient Library" is, how to use it, and why it’s such a powerful tool for building confidence in your wellness routine.
Designed for Learning, Built for Confidence
We’ve always said our formulations are intentional, and this is how we show it. This ingredient library is more than just a collection of facts; it’s a transparent look at the research, tradition, and purpose behind everything we include in our products.
We created it to give you full access to the “why” behind every formula. From historical context to modern science, you’ll find the information you need to feel confident about what you’re putting on (and in) your body.
Whether you’re exploring ingredients by product type, wellness goal, or traditional use, you’ll find detailed, easy-to-understand pages for each one.
Every ingredient page includes:
-
Where it comes from and what it is
Learn each plant or compound’s botanical classification, natural origin, and how it's traditionally harvested or produced so you know exactly what’s going into your routine and why it’s used.
-
How it’s been used across time and cultures
Explore the traditional, Indigenous, or cultural uses that have shaped how the ingredient is understood today, from ancient rituals to folk remedies that stood the test of time.
-
What modern science has to say
Dive into peer-reviewed studies and clinical insights, simplified and summarized. We highlight the active compounds and the specific benefits being researched, so you don’t have to dig through the journals yourself.
-
How it supports your wellness goals
See what the ingredient may help with (like inflammation, stress, or skin support) and where it shows up in our product line, so you can connect the dots between tradition, science, and your daily routine.
This library was built to be empowering, not overwhelming. You don’t need a background in botany or biochemistry to feel confident about what you’re using. You just need the right information, in the right format. That’s what the Ingredient Library delivers.
How It Works (and How to Use It)
The Ingredient Library was designed to be simple to navigate and even easier to understand. You can search or browse by ingredient type, product usage, use case, or category. Click on an ingredient to open its page, where you’ll find clear, plain-language information, along with helpful photos, structure diagrams, and cited scientific research.
Everything is built to be digestible, so you can have a clearer understanding of each ingredient without getting overwhelmed by a wall of text. But the real value is in how you use it.
It’s perfect for:
-
People who read the ingredients before the marketing claims
-
Anyone building a more intentional wellness routine
-
Shoppers with sensitivities or preferences
-
Curious minds who just like knowing what’s what
Maybe you’re hearing about ashwagandha everywhere and want to know what it actually does and why it’s showing up in so many wellness products these days. It breaks it down with both traditional use and current research, and shows you exactly where it appears in our lineup.
You might even be thinking about ways to customize your routine. Whether it’s adding turmeric to your favorite isolate tincture or using our CBD coconut oil as the base for a DIY skincare blend, the ingredient library can help you understand what each plant offers, what it pairs well with, and when it might be most effective to use, like morning vs. evening, or pre-workout vs. wind-down.
More or less, this project is ultimately about supporting your decision-making. It helps you choose what’s right for your body, your lifestyle, and your goals with clarity, not guesswork.
Because Trust Should Be Earned (And Backed by Science)
Plenty of wellness brands talk about “clean,” “natural,” or “plant-based” ingredients, but without real context or research, those labels don’t tell you much. We believe you deserve better than buzzwords.
At Lazarus Naturals, every formulation starts with intention. It is one more way we’re showing our work: by connecting the dots between the ingredients we choose and the science, traditions, and wellness goals that inform them.
This library exists to help you:
-
Understand why an ingredient was chosen, not just that it was
-
Explore the cultural roots and traditional uses that shaped its reputation
-
See the scientific research that supports its benefits
-
Know exactly where it shows up in our products, and how it may support your goals
We’ve always believed that science shouldn’t be gatekept. You shouldn’t have to dig through dense studies or marketing fluff just to feel confident about what you’re using. It makes that knowledge accessible because informed choices build real trust, and that’s what we’re here for.
The Ingredient Library In Action
Whether you’re curious about a trending botanical or searching for something to support better sleep, stress relief, or mood balance, this is where tradition and research meet real-world use. Not sure where to start? Here are a few ingredients you’ll find in the Ingredient Library.
Ashwagandha
Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out? You might be searching for natural stress support. That’s where Ashwagandha comes in. It’s a calming adaptogen long used in Ayurvedic medicine to help the body adapt to stress and rebalance cortisol levels. Today, it’s one of the most researched herbal ingredients for promoting healthy cortisol levels and supporting a balanced nervous system.
Fun fact: Ashwagandha is part of the nightshade family, making it a distant cousin of tomatoes and eggplants.
You’ll find it in our CBD Calm Gummies and Calm Capsules, made to help bring your nervous system back to baseline.
CBG (Cannabigerol)
Exploring cannabinoids for mood, inflammation, or overall wellness? CBG might show up in your search. Known as the “mother of all cannabinoids,” it’s a non-intoxicating powerhouse thought to support everything from focus to gut health. Often called “the mother of all cannabinoids,” CBG is the precursor to many other compounds in the cannabis plant. Research suggests it may help support mood, inflammation response, and neurological health without any intoxicating effects.
Fun fact: CBG starts as CBGA, the compound that eventually becomes CBD or THC, making it the source of many therapeutic cannabinoids.
You’ll find it in full-spectrum blends and CBG isolates, as well as our CBD Turmeric Gummies, CBG Tinctures, and CBD Dog Chews.
Lemon Balm
Looking for something to help you wind down at night? You’ll likely come across Lemon Balm. Lemon balm is a gentle, mint-family herb used for centuries to promote relaxation and ease restlessness. Modern studies suggest its active compounds may influence the GABA system in the brain, helping calm the mind without sedation.
Fun fact: The genus name Melissa means “bee” in Greek. Lemon Balm got its name from its scent and its popularity with honeybees.
You’ll find it in our CBD + CBN Sleep Gummies and Sleep Capsules, designed for deep rest without grogginess.
The library is full of ingredients like these. Each one chosen with intention, backed by research, and included for a reason. So whether you’re building a more informed wellness routine or just learning what works best for you, our ingredient library is here to guide the way.
The Proof Is Here
At Lazarus Naturals, we’ve never believed in making you take our word for it. This is just the latest way we’re putting transparency into action. By showing exactly why each ingredient was chosen, what it does, and how it supports your wellness goals.
It’s a resource we built for you. Whether you’re here to learn, double-check a formula, or just get inspired to try something new, this library is designed to meet you where you are and grow with you.
Because the more you know, the more confident you can feel about what’s going into your body, your routine, and your wellness journey. Whenever you're ready, take a look through the ingredient library and see what speaks to you. The proof is all there—you just have to explore it.
